Saw these at the supermarket yesterday night and was totally intrigued! I’ve never actually tasted kiwiberries before and was curious, so I bought some! They actually taste just like the regular kiwi fruit, just smaller. The skin was smooth instead of fuzzy, so you can just pop the whole thing into your mouth. It left a tangy, “raw” aftertaste though, which led me to the conclusion that I’d much rather prefer the normal sized ones. =p
That said, kiwi berries are actually nutritional powerhouses. They’re high in antioxidants and nutrients!
Vitamin C to boost the immune system, E to lower cholesterol levels, A, which is good for the skin, teeth and bones. They’re high in fibre, rich in folic acid too. 🙂
