My dad and I went to Katong for his most favorite laksa in the world over the weekend! This stall has probably been around since he was an adolescent. It’s been awhile since I last visited here.The steaming bowl of thick bee hoon and sliced prawns swimming in thick spicy curry and coconut cream still hits the spot like no other laksa in Singapore. Dad ordered an extra helping of cockles for his share, much to my disgust. Haha. I got mine switched to just prawns only. Cockles are an acquired taste!
Of course what is laksa without the accompanying otah.
The fishcake is grilled to perfection with just the right amount of charring and spices to give that extra oomph to the tastebuds. Hehe.
And this, is the main highlight of my meal. 10/10 on the umami scale! =)
